First Day of Kindergarten

Today was Jacob's first day of Kindergarten at Dallas Christian School. I have been excited about Jacob starting school for him- he loves to go to school and be with friends. I have also been dreading this day for a while- he will be in school longer than he is with me at home :( I can tell he has been ready for Kindergarten for a while, since he gets bored with just mom at home! It was an early morning for Jacob, but as always he got up in a good mood and ready to go. Here are a few pictures of him in his uniform. So cute!

This morning when we dropped him off he did great! He was so excited on the way to DC and kept asking how much farther it was. When we got to his room his teacher, Mrs. Rudd, gave him a big hug and welcomed him. That was so sweet and comforting!! He also has a friend in his class, Ryan, that is on his soccer team. Ryan was a big help this morning-he welcomed Jacob and showed him where to put his backpack. I am so glad they are in the same class! I was surprised that I did not cry when we left him at school. I thought I was going to be a big crybaby! I did choke up when I told him bye, I loved him, and we would be back to pick him up. Scott did well too, I wasn't so worried about him. He was very excited for Jacob, I am just too sentimental!

My little boy looks so grown up!!

I think I am going to cry!! I can't believe how grown up sweet Jacob is and how big he looks in his cute uniform! I am so excited for him because I know he will LOVE school and make lots of great friends. What a sweetheart.....I just can't get over that he is old enough for all of this! Hope you enjoy your first day as the mother of a big kinder-kid!! Love to you all and tell Jacob we are so proud of him!

He does look very handsome in his uniform, just like his uncle Braden...except for the fact that his shirt is tucked in and his pants are ironed...and he probably showered sometime that week ;)

Hi, Michele! I stumbled upon your blog through one of the other old Ag's blogs. You, Scott and your precious kids look great! Where are y'all living now? Will you be at the Saturn Rd. Youth Group reunion?
Have a great day!

No way he's that big! You have a cute boy! I wish Caleb could go to a great school like DC one day. Give your baby girl a hug too!
