Batman and his trusty sidekick Batgirl

I guess you could say Ella is in style with her low cut pants!

Merry Christmas to all and to all a Good Night!

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree!

We have this awesome tradition of cutting down a Christmas tree every year with some of our closest friends- the Nortons and the Pruitts. We were all pretty determined this year to make this happen! We braved the elements (cold and rain) to get our trees! We were all troopers and we had a great time! What great memories!

Jacob and his beloved-Kinzie.

We love all of you!

Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving this year at the Hoelzles' house. It was a lot of fun as usual. We even had a bonfire in their backyard- yep I did say in their backyard! Jacob loved every minute of it- from building it to burning it down. We all had a great time eating a ton and spending time with the cousins.

These two are going to be double trouble someday!

Ella is on the Move

Ella started crawling about two weeks ago. She is pretty good at it! It is so cute to watch her try to keep up with us walking around the house. When I learned I was having a girl, I thought "Oh, good! She will probably be more laid back than a boy!" Whatever! Ella is going to keep me on my toes. Here are some pictures of her standing up. She looks so cute standing on her little chubby legs. She thinks she is a big girl!

Birthday Boy

I know it has been forever since I have posted anything, but it has been a really, really busy time of the year! So lets catch up- Jacob turned 5 years old, Thanksgiving was fun, and Ella started crawling and pulling up. It has been a lot of fun!

My sweet little boy is 5 years old. I can't believe it, it seems like he just turned 3! I keep thinking that he should stop growing up now, but I know that will not happen. Jacob got to celebrate his birthday with his friends here in Dallas at ASI gymnastics. They had so much fun jumping on trampolines, swinging on a rope and falling into a pit of foam, and running around for no reason. Here are some pics.

Then for Jacob's second birthday party he celebrated with some great friends in Longview. He had a lot of fun with his girlfriends Lolo, Aubrey, and Kinzie and his buddy Jackson, and his cousins. It is always a party when these kiddos get together.

We love you sweet Jacob!

Trunk or Treat Smell my Feet!

Tonight we went to our church's annual trunk or treat. They had a scavenger hunt and hayride and the highlight of the evening was the "trunk" or treat. Jacob got loads of candy!! For Halloween Jacob went as a pirate and Ella is a pirate girl. How cute! That was Jacob's idea.

This is a picture of our decorated trunk, and of Jacob trick or treating.

Ella also got to spend some time with her friends.

The Great State Fair of Texas!

We made the trip to the fair again this year. We needed or corny dog fix and our fill of other weird fried foods. My favorite is the fried cookie dough. Jacob loved seeing the animals and LOVED the midway. He is a little daredevil when it comes to the rides. Ella just loved watching people from her stroller and taking the occasional nap. We had a great time and here are a few pictures.

Pumpkin Patch Fun

Jaocb, Ella, and I went to a pumpkin patch with some very good friends of ours, Natalie and her son Drew. It was quite an experience! We went before the weather got cooler, and it was hot! It made the kids fussy, especially Ella who is just like her mama. She does not like the hot weather. At least I got a (yes, just one) good picture and some pretty cool pumpkins.

This is the one that Jacob carved for school. He says it is wearing glasses!

I'm 7 months old!

Ella turned seven months old yesterday! She is growing up so fast. She is now sitting up on her own, and babbling away! She likes to hold her paccy in her hand and "talk" to it. I don't know what kind of conversations you can have with a paccy, but she has some pretty intense ones. When we are out, Ella draws a lot of attention. Everyone always wants to talk to her, and she just gives them her beautiful smile. Everyone loves her eyes, but who couldn't! I don't sound like a proud mother do I?

Two Peas in a Pod

I just can't say enough about how much Jacob and Ella love each other. I love to watch them interact everyday. Ella has to see where her brother is at all times. Jacob's favorite past time is trying to make Ella laugh! I hope they will always be this close. We will see when Ella starts to get into Jacob's stuff. Before I had Ella, a lot of people were telling me that Jacob will act out because of jealousy and lack of attention. But I have to say that has not come true! He has been such a blessing to us and to Ella.

Big Barfing Baby

Ella had a 12 hour virus on Monday and guess who caught much of the brunt of it. Yes that is me with Ella vomit all the way from my neck, down to the bottom of my pants. But at least Ella feels better. She is fine today, thank goodness she is not spewing her guts out on me anymore.

First Soccer Game

Jacob had his first soccer game this weekend. He had a game on Saturday and Sunday, and he loved it!! During the game on Saturday he scored 4 goals, and on Sunday he scored 5 goals and had 2 assists. Move over Beckham, Jacob Hoelzle has arrived!

Before the Game with his coach and Dad.

Jacob is super fast and breaks out from the pack to score!

Does anyone else notice that he is a head taller than all the other players? That's my Boy!!!

We are the Dinosaurs!! ROAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Life of a six month old

Ella is now a big six month old little girl! She had her six month well check today and she is 19 lbs. and 27 inches. That is 90th percentile for length and 95th percentile for weight. She is my healthy girl! Here are some pictures of some of the cool things she can do now!

Big Man on Campus

Jacob is enjoying his new preschool. He goes on Tuesdays and Thursdays to Greenville Oaks Christian Preschool. He likes to work on the computers, learn about his letters, get stuff from the "treasure box" for good behavior, and learn some Spanish. When I drop him off in the mornings, he barely says bye to me and Ella. He loves it!

Lil Night Owl

Can you read Ella's shirt? Yes, she has this shirt on for a reason today. Ella loves to have her paccy at night- a lot. And she "called" me into her room last night to place it back into her mouth. Every hour from midnight until she woke up!!! She is indeed mommy's lil night owl. But how can you be mad at a face like that?

Anyone have any suggestions? She can't grab the paccy and put it back into her mouth yet. I pray I don't pull all of my hair out until she reaches that age!
